how would you like for a remake for the ps3

I would love to see a real remake of silent hill 1 and if your gonna bring up Shatter Memories im a tell you know it seem more like a what if game not really a remake or reimagined or whatever they wana call it what your thoughts

Nah, I think SH 1 would lose some of that special feel it has with better graphics etc.

Btw. SM was never supposed to be a remake of 1, it's a reimagining (which is like a "what if" scenario).

I like SH1 as is. Part of the charm involves shitty graphics which make it hard to see.

Also, Shattered Memories is not a remake; I don't think that many people think this. Do they?

its like a famous director there are those that make good movie so ever time you hear there part of the project right away you wana see it cause of previous work but if they made horrible movie you just dont care about them and what worst if that director who's known to work on horrible movie starts on a movie based on something you like and try directing it you know it will bomb and 90 percent of the time it does.so in other world previous people who tried to do silent hill but never accomplished it so well so when i herd hideo kojima wanted to use his fox engine for a game like slient hill people assumed already he wanted to take a shot at it and lookin at the comment on those articles and website people want someone else to take over the franchsie but who knows if he does decide to do it. it wouldnt be a bad idea I like the metal gear solid series and it popular and he some like he could do it im not saying it will automaticaly will be good but who know he might bring the series off its feet or push it down further in the grave only time will tell.

no not one but a couple if a director made 5 or 6 bad movie and then he decided to make lets say one of your favorite books or a remake a movie of anthing you like right away you would think "damn why they fuck did he have to touch it" cause you know hes credibility is bad and if he doesnt improve then nobody well see his movies

What made SH1 so great was the fact the PS1 couldnt make that great of graphics for the distance so fog was used, if it wasn't for the shitty graphics and stuff that made the game famous, then we wouldnt have the others. Think of it like this way. If you were given Elvis Presley's car, would you leave it the way it is or have it redone? I assume its a leave it be its good as it is.

How is the HD Collection not remakes? o.O The creators even call it the remakes. Unless we have different views of what a remake is.

I actually go into an argument the other day. I was saying why there wasn't ever going to be a Silent Hill 1 remake, and some guy replied saying, "Uh, have you never heard of Shattered Memories? I suggest you play it". Total face-desk moment.

And thanks to What and Axio, I now giggle every time I see "Ballwashers". I had never heard that word before here.

I used to be all for a remake, but after recently doing several speedruns and extra item runs on the game, I just don't really feel like playing it ever again, or at least not for half a decade or so. No need for a remake. In fact, they should only do new games and concepts rather than do ANY sort of remake or remaster after this terrible HDC fiasco.
