CALL TO ARMS: Help LfSH on Google results

Post by Ratiocinator on Thu Nov 26, 2009 6:38 am

If you were to type Silent Hill 2 in Google Letter from Silent Heaven is on the first page of results, which is a big deal, but it's near the bottom of the page.

So, fellow LfSH fans, I'd like to ask a favor:

From now until, let's say, February 2010 (this will take a while to achieve), whenever you want to visit LfSH go to it by typing Silent Hill 2 in Google and clicking the link for it from their results. If enough people click on it by typing Silent Hill 2 and clicking it on the results LfSH will eventually make its way closer and closer to the top!

Write it down on a sticky paper and put it next to your monitor, tie a string around your finger and be sure to tell your friends who like LfSH to do the same--the more clicks through Google the better. After all, if someone searches for Silent Hill 2 we owe it to them to have the most comprehensive site on it near the top, no?

Thanks guys for your help on this. It's very much appreciated! (And if you celebrate it, have a Happy Thanksgiving!)

I'll make sure to do that. ;)
I saw it was on the first page when I googled about the Japanese Trial/Demo DVD that I read about here 2 days ago and I think it was first - definitely in the first page anyway.

REVEAL SPOILER:
Thanks, but there is no ThanksGiving day here, so happy ThanksGiving to you. :P

Oh, and this site too showed up in the first page when searching "Silent Hill 2 Japanese Demo" or something like that. I think we should do it for this site too (mostly for SH:SM).

Duly noted, I have updated that part of the message. And thank you for being willing to help. The Wikipedia, IMDB and GameSpot sites are gonna be tough to surpass on Google results.

It's right on the first page, which is really impressive, so it won't bother me any to do this from now on.

(Congratulations!)

Is this just with Google or does it apply with other search engines like Bing and Yahoo?
I don't think IMDB should be that high up considering it is a movie site and SH2 is a game first and foremost.

P.S. Love the site by the way. Well done!
